The Testimony of Three Witnesses
To all nations, families, and people who receive this book: We have seen the plates with history of the Nephites, the Lamanites, and the Jaredites written on them because of the grace of God the Father and our Lord Jesus Christ. We know these plates were translated by the gift and power of God, because God told us this with his own voice. This is how we know for sure that this book is true. God’s power also helped us see what was written on the plates themselves. We tell you seriously that an angel of God came down from heaven and put the plates in front of us. We saw them with our own eyes, thanks to the grace of God the Father and our Lord Jesus Christ. This is amazing to us. But God’s voice told us to tell about these things, so we are obeying God by being witnesses of these things. We know that if we are faithful in Christ, we will not be blamed for other people’s sins, and we will be worthy to live with him in heaven forever. All glory be to the Father, and to the Son, and to the Holy Ghost, who is one God. Amen.
