Mosiah — Chapter 6
Then King Benjamin made a list of all the people who had promised to keep God’s commandments.
All the people except the little children had made this promise and taken on themselves Christ’s name.
When King Benjamin finished doing all these things, he made Mosiah king over the people and over all the land. He also chose priests to teach the people God’s commandments and to help them remember to keep the promise they had made. Then he sent all the families home to their own houses.
Mosiah was made king when he was thirty years old. Four hundred seventy-six years had gone by since Lehi had left Jerusalem.
King Benjamin lived for three more years, and then he died.
King Mosiah kept all of God’s commandments and did everything God told him to do.
King Mosiah made his people plant crops, and he planted crops just like his father did so the people would not have to give him food or money. And there were no fights among his people for three years.
