Moroni — Chapter 2
1 These are the words Christ said to the twelve disciples he chose, when he laid his hands on their heads.
2 He called them by name, saying: “You will pray hard to the Father in my name. After you do this, you will have power to give the gift of the Holy Ghost to other people by laying your hands on their heads and giving it to them in my name. This is what my apostles do.”
3 Christ said this to the disciples when he came to the Nephites the first time, and only the disciples heard him say it. Everyone on whom the disciples laid their hands was given the gift of the Holy Ghost.
