Mormon — Chapter 7
Now I want to talk to the descendants of this people who will be given this book as God has promised, so they will know about their ancestors. Yes, I am talking to you who are left of the House of Israel, and this is what I say:
Know that you are part of the House of Israel.
Know that you must repent, or you cannot be saved.
Know that you must put down your weapons and stop killing people, and never fight again unless God commands you.
Know that you must learn about your ancestors, and repent of all your sins, and believe that Jesus Christ is the Son of God — that the Jews killed him, and that he rose from the dead by God the Father’s power, so that we will live again also.
He will raise the dead so they can be judged by their works.
He has saved the world. People who have repented of their sins and are not guilty on the day of judgment will live with God in happiness forever. They will sing praises to the Father, Son and Holy Ghost with the choirs above.
So repent and be baptized in Jesus’ name. Learn and live the gospel of Christ written in this book, and also in the Bible which the Gentiles will get from the Jews, and which you will get from the Gentiles.
I have written this record to help you believe the Bible. If you believe the Bible, you will believe this book, too. If you believe this, you will know about your ancestors and all the great things God’s power did for them.
You will also know that you are part of Jacob’s family and are counted with the people of the first promise. If you believe in Christ and are baptized with water, and then with the Holy Ghost, as the Savior was (and which he has commanded us to do), then it will be well with you on the day of judgment. Amen.
