Second Nephi — Chapter 30
1 Now, my dear brothers and sisters, I want to talk to you because I, Nephi, don’t want you to think you are any more righteous than the Gentiles will be. If you don’t keep God’s commandments, you will be destroyed, too. Not all the Gentiles will be destroyed.
2 All the Gentiles who repent will become the Lord’s promised people. All the Jews who do not repent will not belong to the House of Israel anymore. The Lord will not make promises to anyone who does not repent and believe in his Son — the Messiah, the Holy One of Israel.
3 Now I want to prophesy more about the Jews and the Gentiles. After the book I have talked about comes to the Gentiles, the plates on which it is written will be hidden under God’s protection again. Many will believe in the book and will take it to what is left of our descendants. there can’t be any more Bible.’”
4 Then our descendants will know about us — that we came from Jerusalem, and that they belong to the House of Israel.
5 They will be taught Christ’s gospel, and they will know about their ancestors. They will know about Jesus Christ, just as their ancestors knew about him.
6 Then they will have joy, because they will know that God has given this blessing to them, and that they will be a pure and wonderful people again soon.
7 The Jews who are scattered will begin to believe in Christ, and they will begin to gather together. Those who believe in Christ will also become a wonderful people.
8 Then God will begin his work among all nations and families and peoples to restore his people on earth.
9 He will judge the poor righteously and judge the earth fairly. He will destroy the wicked.
10 The time is coming soon when God will divide good people from wicked people. He will save his people, even if that means he must destroy the wicked by fire.
11 He will be righteous and faithful.
12 Wolves will live with lambs, and leopards will live with young goats, and calves and young lions will live together. A little child will lead them.
13 Cows and bears will eat together, and their babies will play together. Lions will eat grass just like cows.
14 Babies and children will play where snakes live.
15 No one will hurt anyone else in my holy place, because the whole earth will be filled with the knowledge of the Lord, just as water fills the sea.
16 People will know all about every nation on earth.
17 All secrets will be revealed. All evil doings will not be hidden anymore. Everything on earth which has been sealed will be opened.
18 Everything God has ever revealed to people will be revealed then, and Satan will not have any power over people’s hearts for a long time. And now, dear brothers and sisters, I will stop talking.
