Second Nephi — Chapter 21
(See Isaiah 11)
1 A mighty one will come from Jesse’s family, through King David.
2 The Spirit of the Lord will be with him, and great knowledge and wisdom.
3 The Spirit of the Lord will make him very wise. He will not judge things by what he sees or hears,
4 But he will judge the poor righteously, and judge the earth fairly, and he will destroy the wicked.
5 He will be righteous and faithful.
6 Wolves will live with lambs, and leopards will live with young goats, and calves and young lions will live together. A little child will lead them.
7 Cows and bears will eat together, and their babies will play together. Lions will eat grass just like cows.
8 Babies and children will play where snakes live.
9 No one will hurt anyone else in my holy place, because the whole earth will be filled with the knowledge of the Lord, just as water fills the sea.
10 All the nations will look to this mighty one from Jesse’s family, and his peace will be wonderful.
11 At that time the Lord will save the rest of his people from all the lands and islands of the sea.
12 He will set up a signal for the people of all nations to come to, and he will gather all the rest of the people of Israel from all lands.
13 All the House of Israel’s enemies will be destroyed, and there will be no more fighting among the House of Israel.
14 All the House of Israel will fight and defeat their enemies together.
15 The Lord will destroy the canal of the Red Sea and dry up the Nile. People will travel there on dry ground.
16 There will be a road out of Assyria for all those left of the House of Israel. It will be just like the time Israel crossed the Red Sea when they left Egypt.
